Every day I get emails from people wondering what they can do now to help them get moving. Here are 5 easy things to do that will make your life better immediately.
1 Start removing the clutter in your life.
We all have it… clutter. Mental clutter. Emotional clutter. Behavioral clutter. Stuff clutter. People clutter.
Look around your life and really notice what you have that is just junking up your life. Start removing it. Yes you have attachments to all kinds of stuff but so much if the stuff is useless and distracting. The faster you remove it the clearer your life becomes.
2 Find one small thing that you have been putting off and get it done.
It is the small stuff that will overwhelm you. By themselves the small stuff seems unimportant but when you allow small things to pile up you end up with a mountain that seems impossible to get done.
3 Spend 30 minutes doing something physical.
It is so easy to allow everyday life to get in the way of doing something physical. Physical activity is essential for your brain to function properly not just your body. Your brain produces chemicals that are needed to avoid being depressed, thinking clearly, appetite regulation and a whole lot more. Then there is how it is good for your body
4 Use your imagination.
Your imagination is the gateway to creative problem solving. Allow yourself to daydream and for your brain to wander. We sometimes get so focused on tasks and goals and drama that we forget that our imagination is our most powerful tool. It is hard to get the life you want if you can’t imagine it first.
5 Quit.
Quit doing something today. Just one thing. It could be quit following a bad idea that is not working. It could be eating something bad for you. It could be blaming yourself and beating yourself up over mistakes. It could be wasting time on Facebook long after you have checked up on what I have to say today Be a constructive quitter of at least one thing a week.
