Mind traps are those little hurdles we make for ourselves that trap us into one way of thinking and behaving. They seem like nothing but with each one we become more and more stuck.

Let me give you an example.

Contingency… I will stop smoking when I lose weight. I have heard this over and over because people are afraid of gaining more weight when they quit smoking. What they have done is place their outcome behind another outcome.

Then the trap tightens… I will lose weight when it warms up outside. Now you are waiting for warm weather so you can lose weight so you can stop smoking.

It can get even tighter… I will have to get some things done around the house when is gets warm then I will work on losing weight so I can stop smoking.

When you make one change dependent on another change you end up in a trap that keeps getting tighter and tighter. Even when it gets warmed you can find another task that has to get done before you get to the thing you need to do before you can start on the original goal of “stop smoking”

This is just one of the Mind Traps that we will be helping you overcome tomorrow at the Gold Member Seminar.
12 noon Sunday! If you are not a Gold Member you can still get the One Dollar Intro https://www.essential-skills.com/3dmind/2012/01/1-gold-member-intro/ That is One dollar for 30 days of Gold Membership then only 20 dollars a month after that.
