Ok folks...I want to get this 2 week cahllenge rolling with something that Dave and I were talking about.
His observation was that he had no clue what he really wanted. I thought that would be a good thing to know. Some poeple know what they want but not how to get there. So have a very general idea of what to look for first.
This is a project. The first step in any project is to get an inventory of the tools you are going to need. You won't have any clue what you need to you know what you already have.
So my suggested first step is to make an inventory of your assets. I have some questions in mind to dig these out but I want to see what you can come up with first.
This project is going to take participation. I know some of you might just want to read alone but I want you to get past that and post to this project.
So here is your first task......What are you assets?

I am really good at researching and finding out the best info on anything that I want.
I can dream really well 
If the communication is formal and I have something at the end of the deal, I can behave very persuasively for a short period of time. Do that allmost always when I shop, and if I need to make deals with people I dont know ..
I am a good person. I wont do anything to hurt anyone in any situation. Especially the few people I connect with. I consider that an asset.
I am eager to try anything.
I dont give up.
I am not attached to anything in the material world. I can go with food shelter for a long time without caring. That is if it takes me to a goal.
I always check things I know with other mindsets, knowledge. I never become a follower of an idea if that doesnt work.
I can give something up if I find something better.
I have discipline. If I promise myself I will do something, I will do it even if there is a war.
I care for other people.
I have a working foundation of the human mind .
I know the place where I will get the most leverage in this world is changing my mind.
I am flexible.

Assets? good question, the first and biggest: Open to learn , then open to be challenged, thirsty for knowledge and improvement, curiosity and commintment, that should fit the bill but in case it not, then attitute to get what it takes to get what I want :-)

This is a tough one. I feel like I have a lot of great assets. I just can't get to a lot of them unless im in the right mood and then it all comes naturally.
I'm really great at working on the phone when it comes to sales
I enjoy public speaking when i have everything planed out and i know what im doing
I don't like to give up when im committed to something
I'm honest
I can take risks when the odds are in my favor and i understand the situation

Allrighty. I took 45 minutes to start writing this list in my journal. It's not done. I'll be adding more tomorrow morning. I include not only things and abilities I have but also personality traits I value and personal accomplishments. Why go half, assed, after all?
Note: I merely brainstormed. These aren't grouped or listed in any specific way.

OK, I'm in. In fact, it strikes me that anybody that did the 3DMind seminar in Atlanta a few weeks ago ought to be here too. Now the “homework” ...
Hoo-boy – this hurts ! Why ? Because looking at what I *do* have makes me feel bad about the fact that I in spite of all of these “assets”, I am not happy with where I am and that I don't (yet) have what I want. I guess that I am not using the assets very well !
Anyway, this is a bit of a brainstorm, but here goes ...
- I am fairly fit and healthy (one slightly dodgy knee, so no jogging
 but I can dance with it – those that know me know that this is VERY important to me !
- I have a good basic education i.e. I can read, write, calculate and communicate fairly well.
- I am pretty much a “free agent” at the moment. I won't bore everyone with the details but family upheavals over the last couple of years have culminated with me taking something of a sabbatical from my old corporate existence. Because I don't really want to go back to that kind of life, I have been exploring entrepreneurial activities for the future. This ties in with the next item, because in that time I have discovered that ...
- I am good at starting projects ... sometimes not so good at finishing them !
- I am pretty creative in my own way ... for example, I like to write, I have performed in and taught “improv”, I play the piano (badly), I used to draw (badly) and of course, I love to dance
- I have a long-standing interest in bettering myself. This led me to the self-improvement field where (amongst other things) I have studied Silva, NLP and of course, ES
I like and I am going to borrow Dave Foris's line that “I've been philosophical-minded. I don't live an unexamined life.” Though I guess one of the reasons that we're here is because of the dangers that Phill alluded to on the list, namely that it's easy to spend too much time examining it !
- I am good at transferring knowledge and skills e.g. as a trainer. I really enjoy this too.
- Having just turned 50
 I suppose that I have quite a little “life experience”.
- I have a few very good friends – sadly, most of them seem to live a l-o-n-g way away
- In what was my professional field (IT), I have a lot of experience though it doesn't really particularly fit many of the check boxes which that industry wants.
- I'm smart enough to be here !
Interested to see what Tom is going to come up with here.
Whilst I'm here, Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends.

What are my assets?
Curiosity, Desire, Passion, Unwillingness to settle, Stubborn, I am flexible, I am very creative, I have a wild imagination, I can be sneaky and get what I want, I am warm, People warm to me easily and trust me quickly, I am supportive, I am generous, I am able to easily motivate and inspire others, People easily follow my lead (depending on my state), I can make complex ideas, and things seem simple and easy to understand, I can easily connect with others (depending on my state), When I am not focused on my own crap I can easily read people and see them, I can use computers, edit film, create movies, direct movies, I am a Great Actor, I have empathy and compassion, And I know when to be hard with people when they need a good kick in the rear to get them moving, I am aggresive, I am energetic, I have amazing stamina, I love to work out, I am able to manage and lead, I can make people laugh and smile, allowing them to feel connected, accepted, and important, I know what I need to work on in my life and right now am taking action toward that, I can 3D Mind, I know how to anchor, calibrate and get rapport, I know jeet kune do, I know Karate, I can paint, I can Draw, I know how to fly a plane, I know how to buy investment Real Estate, I can Sing, Dance, And Act, I can Juggle, I can entertain, I can laugh at myself (depending on my state), I can Sell, I can make people money, I can type extremely fast, I can use a computer, I can tie my shoes, I can ski, I can Cook!

Reading your posts made me realize some of my other assets. Thanks for it!
I can learn quickly.
I have great family who is always there for me.
I have a 4 year old cousin who is the brightest kid I have ever seen and I am his mentor
I learn and use many things most people have no clue about.
I can drive dangerously well
I am physically fit.
I live in a beautiful apartment.
My family is financially stable.
I can get a sense of people quickly and sense what's in their minds.
I can get in the shape of any person I meet and have them want to connect.
I hold an Economics degree.
I speak Turkish, English and am learning Spanish.
I am clever.
I like breaking boundaries.
I dont like rules.
I am not a politically correct guy.
I can type really fast.
I can come up with solutions in any situation.
My family come from diverse places. I am Israeli, Turkish and Spanish at the same time.
I have been in a long term relationship.
I have a sister who is very clever, outgoing and successful. She gives me a girls perspective all the time.
I am alot of fun when I am in my crazy mood.
I can get people motivated when I believe in something.
I am a decent soccer player.
I am a decent table tennis player.
